This Privacy Policy explains how PsyGlobal collects, uses, stores, and protects personal data submitted through the psyglobal.com website. We are committed to handling your data responsibly and in compliance with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (DPDPA) and other applicable laws.

PsyGlobal (psyglobal.com) is a directory platform for mental health professional training in India. The platform is operated under Umae Sanctuaries LLP, a limited liability partnership registered in India. References to "PsyGlobal," "we," "us," or "our" in this policy refer to the operators of psyglobal.com.

2. What personal data we collect

PsyGlobal collects personal data only when you actively provide it through one of our forms. We do not collect data passively from visitors who browse the site without submitting a form.

We do not collect sensitive personal data as defined under the DPDPA (such as financial data, health records, biometric data, or passwords) through any of our forms. Professional credentials submitted for listing purposes are treated as professional information, not sensitive personal data.

3. How we use your data

We use the personal data you provide strictly for the purposes stated at the point of collection. Specifically:

Event and programme submissions are used to process your request and, where listed, publish the listing on PsyGlobal
Practitioner profile submissions are used to process your request and, where listed, publish the profile in the practitioner directory
Newsletter email addresses are used solely to send updates about new events and listings on PsyGlobal
Contact form submissions are used solely to respond to your enquiry
Practitioner matching requests are used to identify and connect you with relevant practitioners from our directory

We do not use your data for marketing, advertising, profiling, or any automated decision-making.

4. What is published publicly

When an event listing or practitioner profile is published on PsyGlobal, the following information becomes publicly visible on the site:

For event listings:

Event name, type, date, venue or online platform
Organiser or trainer name and credentials
Event description
Registration or information link (if provided)

Your personal email address and phone number are not published as part of an event listing.

For practitioner profiles:

Name, credentials, specialities, location, and availability
Short bio
Website or professional profile link (if provided)

Your personal email address is not published directly as part of a practitioner profile.

5. Data retention

We retain personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected:

Active event listings and practitioner profiles: retained while the listing or profile remains live on the site
Removed listings and profiles: associated data deleted within 30 days of removal
Newsletter subscriptions: retained until you unsubscribe
Contact enquiries: retained for up to 12 months, then deleted
Declined submissions: data retained for 6 months, then deleted

6. Third-party processing

PsyGlobal is hosted on Netlify (netlify.com). Form submission data passes through Netlify's forms infrastructure as part of our hosting arrangement. Netlify processes this data on our behalf as a data processor. Netlify's own privacy policy governs their handling of data and can be found at netlify.com/privacy.

PsyGlobal uses Google Analytics (Google LLC) to collect anonymised data about site usage — pages visited, session duration, and traffic sources. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect this data. No personally identifiable information is shared with Google Analytics. Google's privacy policy applies to this data and can be found at policies.google.com/privacy. You may opt out of Google Analytics tracking by using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Beyond Netlify and Google Analytics, we do not share, sell, rent, or transfer your personal data to any third party for any purpose.

7. Your rights under the DPDPA 2023

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, you have the following rights regarding your personal data that we hold:

Right to access: You may request a summary of the personal data we hold about you
Right to correction: You may request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data
Right to erasure: You may request that we delete your personal data, subject to any legal obligations to retain it
Right to withdraw consent: Where we process your data on the basis of your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time
Right to grievance redressal: You may raise a grievance about our handling of your data

8. Cookies and tracking

PsyGlobal uses Google Analytics, which places cookies on your device to collect anonymised usage data. We do not use advertising pixels, remarketing scripts, or any other tracking technology. We do not use Facebook Pixel or similar advertising tools.

If you browse the site without submitting a form, the only data collected is anonymised analytics data via Google Analytics (pages visited, session duration, approximate location at country level, device type, and traffic source). This data is not linked to your identity.

9. Children's data

PsyGlobal is a professional platform intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has submitted data through our platform, contact us at contact@psyglobal.com and we will delete it promptly.

10. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data submitted through PsyGlobal from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or loss. Our platform is served over HTTPS. Form submissions are processed through Netlify's secure infrastructure.

No method of data transmission over the internet is completely secure. While we take data security seriously, we cannot guarantee absolute security of data in transit.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be published on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of PsyGlobal after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
