About PsyGlobal

What is PsyGlobal? +

PsyGlobal is a listing platform for mental health practitioners, trainers, institutes, and professional bodies in India. Listings are self-submitted by those who create them. PsyGlobal does not independently verify credentials or endorse any listing.

PsyGlobal was built because finding mental health professional training in India is harder than it should be. Professional bodies list their own events in isolation. Most of what circulates moves through word of mouth and WhatsApp groups. PsyGlobal brings it into one accessible place.

Who is PsyGlobal for? +

PsyGlobal is primarily for mental health professionals and students in India: clinical psychologists, counselling psychologists, psychotherapists, counsellors, psychiatric social workers, occupational therapists working in mental health, and allied practitioners at all career stages.

It is also for training institutes, professional associations, and organisations looking to commission training or find qualified practitioners for their programmes.

Is PsyGlobal free to use? +

Yes. Browsing all listings on PsyGlobal is completely free and requires no account, login, or registration. Submitting a listing is also free. Fill in the submission form and your listing will appear on the site within 3 to 5 working days.

Who runs PsyGlobal? +

PsyGlobal is an independent platform for the mental health professional community in India. It was built to make training, supervision, and professional development opportunities easier to find in one place.

We are not affiliated with any single institute, professional body, or training organisation. You can reach us at contact@psyglobal.com.

Is PsyGlobal a therapy directory? Can I find a therapist here? +

No. PsyGlobal is a professional training directory, not a client-facing therapy directory. It is designed for mental health professionals and students looking for training, supervision, and professional development, not for individuals seeking therapy or counselling.

Training and supervision

Does PsyGlobal certify or accredit events for CPD or CE credit? +

No. PsyGlobal is a directory platform, not an accrediting body. We do not certify, accredit, or designate any event as eligible for CRE (Continuing Rehabilitation Education) credits or other training hours toward regulatory requirements.

PsyGlobal is not an RCI-approved body and makes no such claim.

What is the difference between a training workshop and an ongoing programme? +

A training workshop is a time-bound event, typically one day to a few days, focused on a specific skill, modality, or topic. Examples include a two-day DBT skills workshop, a one-day trauma-informed practice training, or a half-day session on working with adolescents.

An ongoing programme runs over a longer period with multiple sessions. Examples include a year-long DBT comprehensive training programme, a monthly supervision group that meets regularly throughout the year, a semester-long reading group, or a multi-module certification course delivered over several months.

Both types are listed on PsyGlobal. When submitting, you will be asked to specify which type applies.

What is clinical supervision and who needs it? +

Clinical supervision is a formal, structured process in which a more experienced practitioner supports a less experienced one, or peers support each other, in reflecting on their clinical work. It covers case consultation, ethical dilemmas, professional development, and personal wellbeing in relation to clinical practice.

Supervision is considered a professional requirement for most mental health practitioners at all career stages, not just those in training. Many professional bodies and institutional employers require practitioners to be in regular supervision. In India, access to qualified supervisors outside major cities has historically been limited. PsyGlobal aims to make supervision groups easier to find, including online options.

Submitting a listing

How do I submit an event or programme to PsyGlobal? +

Go to psyglobal.com/submit and complete the submission form. You will be asked for the listing name, type, format (in-person, online, or hybrid), date or schedule, venue or platform, a description of the event, and your credentials as the organiser or trainer. You can optionally provide a LinkedIn profile and professional registration or membership number, which helps us process your submission.

Submissions are published within 3 to 5 working days. We respond to every submission.

Who can submit a listing? +

The following may submit listings to PsyGlobal:

  • Individual qualified practitioners: clinical psychologists, counselling psychologists, psychotherapists, counsellors, psychiatric social workers, and allied mental health professionals with recognised qualifications
  • Registered training institutes and professional development centres
  • Recognised professional bodies and associations such as state chapters of IPS, IACP, RCI-affiliated organisations, and similar bodies
  • Training organisations delivering certified programmes in evidence-based therapies

Submissions from individuals without a recognised qualification or from unregistered organisations are unlikely to be listed.

What qualifications do I need to submit a listing? +

Individual practitioners should hold a recognised postgraduate qualification in psychology, counselling, psychotherapy, psychiatric social work, or a related field (MA, MSc, MPhil, or PhD from a recognised university), along with any relevant registration or certification for the modality being taught.

Recognised registrations and memberships include RCI registration, IACP membership, IPS membership, NAPSWI membership, and equivalent bodies. International certifications from bodies such as the ISST (International Society of Schema Therapy), EMDRIA, and similar organisations are also accepted.

If you are unsure whether your qualifications meet the criteria, submit your listing with full details and we will get back to you.

How long until my listing appears? +

We aim to respond to all submissions within 3 to 5 working days. If we need additional information about the event or organiser, we will contact you at the email address provided. Providing a LinkedIn profile and professional registration number helps us process your submission faster.

Can I submit a listing if my event is outside India? +

PsyGlobal currently focuses on events and programmes relevant to mental health professionals based in India. Online events are listed regardless of where the organiser is based, provided they are relevant to and accessible by practitioners in India. In-person events outside India are not currently listed, though this may change as the platform grows.

Can a training institute or professional association submit listings? +

Yes. Registered training institutes, professional development centres, and recognised professional bodies and associations are welcome to submit listings. When submitting, please provide the name and registration details of your organisation alongside the event information.

What happens if my submission is not listed? +

We respond to every submission, including those we are unable to list. If we cannot list your submission, we will tell you why. In most cases, this is due to insufficient information rather than a permanent rejection. You are welcome to resubmit with additional details.

Practitioner directory

What is the PsyGlobal practitioner directory? +

The practitioner directory is a separate section of PsyGlobal where practitioners and trainers can be listed and found. It is searchable by speciality, modality, location, and availability. It is designed for two types of users: practitioners who want to be found by organisations, supervisees, or collaborators; and organisations, institutes, or individuals looking for a qualified practitioner for a specific need.

How do I add myself to the practitioner directory? +

Go to psyglobal.com/practitioners and scroll to the submission form at the bottom of the page. You will be asked for your name, credentials, specialities and modalities, location, website or profile URL, and a short bio. Submit your profile and we will publish it within 3 to 5 working days.

I am looking for a practitioner for my organisation or programme. How does that work? +

Go to psyglobal.com/practitioners and use the search and filter tools to find practitioners by modality, speciality, and location. You can also use the "Looking for someone specific?" form on that page to describe your requirement in detail and we will match you with suitable practitioners from our directory and connect you directly. This service is available for organisations commissioning training, institutes seeking guest faculty, and practitioners looking for supervision in a specific modality.
